How do you use the Patio Heater? Connect the Patio Heater to an earthed wall socket
and start it using the switch on the top. Select the "Low" (450 W) or "High" (900 W) power
setting and oscillating movement (Osc) – see sketch below. When in oscillating mode, it is
always at 900 W. The "Off" setting means the heater is switched off.
How should the Patio Heater be positioned? The Patio Heater should be standing on
its base. Position the Patio Heater so that the heat radiates towards the location where you
want heat. Remember not to place the Patio Heater next to flammable materials. Never
aim the heater directly at a wall.
How does the Patio Heater work? The Patio Heater has a QC-Helix
heating rod that emits infrared waves of heat at a different wavelength to conventional
infrared heaters that use metal heating rods. Consequently, it warms the skin without
drying it out.
How large an area does the Patio Heater cover? As the Patio Heater can employ an
oscillating motion, it covers around 10 m
Does it take a long time for the Patio Heater to start emitting heat? The radiant heat
starts as soon as it is switched on.
Does the Patio Heater heat along the floor? Yes, as the Patio Heater stands vertically
on a base, it also heats along the floor.
Can the Patio Heat cope with wet conditions? Yes. Protection class IPX4 means
that the Patio Heater can cope with being outside in drizzle and still function without any
problem.
Does the Patio Heater consume a lot of power? If you have the Patio Heater switched
on at the highest power setting for one hour, it only consumes 0.9 kWh.
How long does the carbon-fibre rod last? Around 3,000 hours.
How long does the guarantee last? 2 years.
