Cooking chamber lighting
•
The cooking chamber lighting comes on automatically when the microwave oven is
activated.
•
The cooking chamber lighting turns off when the microwave oven goes off, the
cooking time has expired or when the glass-pane door is opened.
Defrost techniques
•
The function labeled
frozen food products. Microwave energy heats the product from the outside and
heat slowly gets into the inside. This process allows for even defrosting.
•
Before defrosting, remove the food product from its packing and place it on a plate.
•
Place the plate into the cooking chamber and close the glass-pane door.
•
Set the multifunction dial to the desired time and press it to activate the unit.
•
When defrosting, follow these tips:
Covering
Dishes should be covered in order to:
speed-up cooking (defrosting),
-
-
prevent food from drying out,
avoid splattering of grease in the cooking chamber,
-
Exceptions: bread, baked goods, fried products and dishes that should be crunchy
should not be covered.
Rotating / mixing
During defrosting, most food products must be rotated or mixed at least once. Separate
pieces of food stuck together as quickly as possible.
Smaller portions
Smaller portions defrost quicker and more evenly compared to large portions. Before
defrosting, divide food products into smaller portions. This will allow you to quickly and
easily cook an entire meal.
