    Die Temperaturmessung liefert einen Messwert, der Auskunft gibt über die aktuelle Körpertemperatur eines Menschen. Sollten Sie unsicher sein in der Interpretation der Ergebnisse oder treten abnormale Werte auf, sollten Sie sich an Ihren behandelnden Arzt wenden. Dies gilt auch bei geringeren Temperaturveränderungen, wenn weitere Krankheitssympto- me dazukommen, wie z. B.

Um Temperaturveränderun- gen zu erfassen, messen Sie bei derselben Person immer im selben Ohr. • Das Ohrthermometer darf von Kindern nur unter Aufsicht von Erwachsenen benutzt werden.     The batteries are already inserted in all new devices. Before first use, remove the protruding plastic insulating strip from the battery compartment.     Taking the temperature gives a measurement that provides information about a person’s current body temperature. If you are uncertain about interpreting the results or if the value is abnormal, please consult your doctor. This also applies in the case of slight temperature changes if there are other symptoms of illness such as agitation, severe sweating, flushed skin, fast pulse rate, tendency to collapse, etc.
  • Page 26 Measuring body temperature in the ear • Some people produce diff erent readings in their left and right ear. In order to record temperature changes, always measure a person’s temperature in the same ear. • The ear thermometer may be used by children only under adult supervision. Measurement is usually possible over the age of 6 months.
  • Page 27 Make sure that the sensor tip and also the ear canal are clean. As the ear canal is slightly curved, you have to pull the ear slightly up and backwards before inserting the sensor tip. This is important so that the sensor tip can be pointed directly at the eardrum.
