NOTE:
Risk of damage!
If you charge the battery incorrectly, the battery, the charger and the cordless
screwdriver may be damaged.
– Charge the battery in an environmental temperature between 0 °C and 45 °C.
The optimum temperature for charging the battery is approximately 23 °C.
– Charge the battery when the display shows weak battery power (red lamp).
– The charger may only be used to charge the cordless battery. Do not use it to
charge any other rechargeable batteries or for non-rechargeable batteries.
Batteries with lithium-ion technology(Li-Ion) have considerable advantages
over traditional Ni-Cd batteries:
• No Memory Effect. The battery can be recharged at any time regardless of
charge state without capacity loss.
• Extremely low self-discharge, thus it can be used even after a longer
period of storage.
• Low weight and long lifetime.
At purchasing, the battery of the cordless screwdriver is only slightly
charged. For this reason, charge the battery before using for the first time.
When the LED charge state display (2) shows weak battery power (red lamp),
charge the battery.
1. Plug the mains plug of the charger (9) into the socket.
2. Plug the connector of the charging cable into the charging socket (4) of the
cordless screwdriver.
3. The charge display will start by lighting up in red.
The charge display will light up in green when the battery is fully charged.
During the charging process, the plug, charger and battery will get warm.
This is normal operation and is not a defect.
4. Unplug the charger from the mains after 3 hours.
5. Pull out the plug of the charger.
6. Allow the cordless screwdriver to cool to room temperature if it has
warmed up during charging.
