The discharge current of the charging device is selected at 16mA to 850mA in line with the practice.
The charging device is provided with an automatic charge conservation.
The charging device has an automatic battery monitoring system (charge current and charge amount).
The automatic battery detection registers if a battery is inserted or removed.
No memory effect occurs (charge and discharge current are clocked). Thus, a high internal resistance of
the battery decreases and its current carrying capacity increases.
The efficiency of the battery is improved (ratio of the required quantity of current to the capacity that can
be delivered).
The charging device does not have a memory backup. In the event of a power outage, the data of the
battery and the current functions remain stored for up to two days. If the charging device is again
connected to the mains, this results in a continuation of the programme. To this end, the charging device
must previously be connected to the mains and switched for at least two hours.
The LC display (alphanumerical) serves to display
- the orogramme (CHA, DIS, CHK, CYC, ALV)
- the battery type (BABY/MONO, MIGNON, MICRO, 9V BLOCK)
- the charging progress of the battery (battery symbol)
- the current battery voltage (U)
- the current charge and discharge current (I)
- the current or saved charge data (C) and discharge data (D) in mAh or Ah
- the required numbe in hours and minutes (hh:mm)
There are 3 function keys to input the programmes and settings.
Main menu
If no battery is inserted and any key is pressed, the message „Insert battery" is displayed.
Charging programmes
- CHA (CHARGE) = charge or recharge only once
CHARGE means that the inserted battery is being charged.
- DIS (DISCHARGE) = discharge only once
DISCHARGE means that the inserted battery is being discharged.
- CHK (CHECK) = discharge and recharge once
CHECK means that the inserted battery is being discharged and recharged.
- CYC (CYCLE) = charge/discharge/charge
CYCLE means that the inserted battery is first charged, then discharged and finally recharged.
