5 Operation

GB
Switch on the control panel with the POWER switch
(23). The display shows the version of the firmware
(e. g.
for version 1.1) first and then
(bank 1), i. e. the memory bank 1 has been selected.
After operation switch off the LED-32C with the
POWER switch. If it is not used for a longer period
of time, disconnect the power supply unit from the
socket because it has a low current consumption
even if the control panel is switched off.
If units from "img Stage Line" are controlled with the
LED-32C, the controls 1 to 4 (8 to 11) have the fol-
lowing functions:
control 1 for the red LEDs
control 2 for the green LEDs
control 3 for the blue LEDs
control 4 for the total brightness
The following text is based on this assignment.
When operating units of other manufacturers, the
functions of the controls may be assigned differ-
ently.
1) Select the units to be controlled with the buttons
FIXTURE SELECTOR 1 – 8 (7). The correspon-
ding LEDs of the buttons light up.
2) Advance the control 4 (11) approx.
the desired lighting colour with the control 1 (8)
for the red LEDs, the control 2 (9) for the green
LEDs and the control 3 (10) for the blue LEDs.
Advance the control, the colour of which is to
dominate, to maximum and adjust the desired
shade of colour with the other two controls.
Once a control is moved, the display (3)
shows the corresponding DMX value from 000
to 255. The "d" ahead of the number stands for
DMX.
3) Adjust the definitive brightness of the spotlights
with the control 4.
4) To switch on the stroboscope function*, move
the control 4 to the upper half of the adjusting
range. Here the flash frequency can be adjusted
from slow to fast. If the control is moved up to
the top, the stroboscope function is switched off
again and all LEDs light at maximum bright-
ness.
5) With button BLACK OUT (15) the LEDs of the
spotlights can be turned off and switched to
brightness again. As long as the LEDs are
turned off, the LED of button BLACK OUT lights
up as a check.
* Note: This function is only available for spotlights which
are provided with an individual stroboscope function in the
upper range of the DMX channel for the total brightness,
14
6) To cancel spotlights, press the corresponding
button FIXTURE SELECTOR 1 – 8 so that the
corresponding LED will be extinguished. The
lighting colour and the brightness of the can-
celled spotlights do not change even if the con-
trols 1 to 4 are moved.
7) To switch on again a cancelled spotlight with
button FIXTURE SELECTOR, the controls 1 to
4 which are not set to minimum then have to be
moved slightly. Not until then the modified
adjustments will have effect on the spotlight.
5.1 Stroboscope function
with button STROBE
1) Keep button STROBE (14) pressed. Independ-
ent of all other adjustments, all spotlights con-
nected flash at maximum brightness. The LED
next to the button is blinking with the flash fre-
quency.
2) Adjust the flash frequency with control STROBE
SPEED (16). The display (3) shows the fre-
quency adjusted: F 01.0 (1 Hz) to F 20.0 (20 Hz).
Note: If the stroboscope function has already been acti-
vated with the control 4 (11), the control STROBE SPEED
always defines the flash frequency with button STROBE
1
pressed.

5.2 Memorizing and
calling illumination scenes
For quickly calling illumination scenes, 8 scenes
can be memorized in each of the 4 memory banks
with the buttons COLOUR PRESETS 1 to 8 (1), i. e.
a total of 32. A scene which has once been ad-
justed can thus be restored at any time.

5.2.1 Memorizing scenes

1) Keep button PROGRAM REC (2) pressed for
approx. 3 seconds until its LED starts flashing.
The programming mode is thus switched on. If
scenes have already been memorized, the cor-
responding LEDs of the buttons COLOUR PRE-
SETS (1) flash.
2) Select one spotlight (or several spotlights to be
adjusted the same way) with the buttons FIX-
TURE SELECTOR 1 – 8 (7).
3) Adjust the colour and brightness with the con-
trols 1 to 4 (8 to 11).
4) Cancel the spotlights adjusted with the buttons
FIXTURE SELECTOR 1 – 8 again.
e. g. the units from "img Stage Line" indicated in chapter 3.
See chapter 5.1 for units without individual stroboscope
function.
