Foreword

The Canto Nxt is a tilting wheelchair that has been
specially designed for permanent wheelchair users
who need a wheelchair with maximum comfort. The
Canto Nxt always provides the care professional with
a customized personal solution, irrespective of the
weight, body dimensions and state of health of the
passive user.
The Canto Nxt has two gas springs which give
the wheelchair a stable, comfortable tilting frame
which, in addition to a large tilting range, is light to
operate with or without a user. The backrest angle is
adjustable. The arm and legrests are easy to remove
when transferring to and from the chair. The Canto
Nxt can be made smaller.
The Canto Nxt is constructed according to a modular
system so that the chair can be put together on the
basis of the sitting comfort, dimensions, variant and
drive requirements of the user and care professional.
The basis of this modular system is a multifunctional
basic frame which can be fitted with different wheel
combinations, seats and backrests.
The Canto Nxt is water splash resistant and suitable
for both indoor and outdoor use.
Depending on the model, the maximum user weight
is 150 kg*. This is indicated on the CE sticker.
The Canto Nxt has been tested positively by the
TNO in compliance with the relevant requirements
of the European wheelchair standards EN 12182
and EN 12183 and as a 'crash test safe wheelchair' in
accordance with ISO 7176-19 (see page 27).
* In combination with a Snellius or Kelvin seat, the maximum user
weight is 125 kg

The Canto Nxt therefore complies with the essential
requirements of the Medical Devices Directive 93/42/
EEC.
Important: please read these instructions for use care-
fully before using the Canto Nxt for the first time.
Important: the optional extras for the Snellius and
Kelvin seat elements are described in the manuals for
the seat elements concerned.
