    HOOFDSTUK 1. ALGEMENE INFORMATIE Gefeliciteerd met uw nieuwe Tecarpuls! Dit is een elektro medisch apparaat voor de behandeling van patiënten met diverse acute of chronische aandoeningen. Lees deze gebruikershandleiding goed door om bekend te raken met het apparaat. Elk apparaat dat wordt geproduceerd, is uitgebreid getest volgens de kwaliteits- en veiligheidsnormen van Enraf-Nonius B.V.

    HOOFDSTUK 2. INLEIDING Algemene informatie Tecarpuls is een medisch-technisch apparaat voor de behandeling van musculoskeletale aandoeningen. Het apparaat en de behandelingsmethode zijn ontwikkeld in Noorwegen en in  1988 voor het eerst op de markt gebracht onder de naam Skanlab 25 Bodywave De werking van Tecarpuls is gebaseerd op capacitieve stroom.

    Voorzorgsmaatregelen • Patiënten met een verminderde gevoeligheid van de huid/neuropathie. Vermijd behandeling bij patiënten met een verminderde gevoeligheid van de huid in het behandelingsgebied, tenzij deze therapie specifiek is aangeraden door de arts van de patiënt. Test de behandeling eerst op het te behandelen gebied. Op die manier voorkomt u dat weefsel oververhit raakt.

    HOOFDSTUK 4. VEILIGHEID Algemene inleiding Het is belangrijk dat u de instructies zorgvuldig doorleest voordat u de Tecarpuls gebruikt. Laat alle gebruikers deze instructies lezen. 1. Sluit de Tecarpuls alleen aan op een goedgekeurde elektrische installatie met een geaarde stekker. 2.

    HOOFDSTUK 5. INSTALLATIE VAN DE TECARPULS Locatie van de Tecarpuls • Plaats het apparaat op een stevige, vlakke en stabiele ondergrond. • Gebruik het apparaat niet in de nabijheid van een warmtebron, zoals een radiator. • Voorkom blootstelling aan direct zonlicht, regen, ophoping van stof, vocht, mechanische trillingen en harde mechanische schokken.

    Opstarten/zelftest Alle functies van het apparaat worden automatisch gecontroleerd via een ingebouwde microprocessor als het apparaat wordt ingeschakeld met de AAN/UIT-knop op de achterkant. Daarna voert het apparaat een zelftest uit. Als het apparaat in gebruik is, wordt de huidige uitgangsstroom automatisch gemeten en vergeleken met de specifieke vereiste.

    HOOFDSTUK 6. BELANGRIJKE INFORMATIE – TIPS EN WAARSCHUWINGEN VOOR BEHANDELING Controleer vóór de behandeling altijd of het oppervlak van de behandelelektrode niet is beschadigd of bekrast. Als de speciale glazuurverf is beschadigd of gebarsten, of als u zwarte stipjes ziet die niet kunnen worden verwijderd, moet de behandelelektrode worden vervangen.
  • Page 12 Zorg ervoor dat de kabels van de behandelsonde en de aardkabel niet rechtstreeks in contact komen met de patiënt of therapeut en met metaal of ander geleidend/energie absorberend materiaal. Zie foto’s voor voorbeelden van een juiste plaatsing. Controleer of de isolatie aan de buitenkant van de behandelsonde en aardelektrodekabels niet beschadigd is.

    Vooraf gedefinieerde instellingen: Druk op het te behandelen lichaamsdeel, bijv. de knie. Vervolgens ziet u een aantal aandoeningen waaruit u kunt kiezen. Selecteer de aandoening die u wilt behandelen. Start de behandeling met de behandelsonde. Vergeet niet om elektrode crème aan te brengen op beide elektroden.

    CHAPTER 1. GENERAL INFORMATION Congratulations on your new Tecarpuls! This is an electromedical device for use in treating patients with various types of acute or chronic ailments. Take the time to read through this user manual to get to know your new device. In order to satisfy the high quality and safety requirements of Enraf-Nonius B.V., each device that leaves production has undergone a quality test.

    CHAPTER 2 - INTRODUCTION General Information Tecarpuls is a medical-technical device intended for the treatment of musculoskeletal problems. The device and treatment method were developed in Norway and was first  introduced as Skanlab 25 Bodywave in 1988. Tecarpuls bases its operation on capacitive current. A capacitance is a physical-electrical property of 2 adjacent, isolated conductors (electrodes).

    Precautions • Patients with impaired skin / neuropathy sensitivity. Avoid treatment in patients with reduced skin sensibility in the area to be treated, unless the treatment is specifically recommended by the patient's physician.     Startup / Self-test All of the device's functions are automatically checked by a built-in microprocessor when the device is turned on using the on / off switch on the back of the device. Then the device runs a self-test. All the time the device is in use, the actual current at the output is automatically measured and compared to the specified requirement.

    CHAPTER 6. IMPORTANT INFORMATION - TIPS AND WARNINGS BEFORE TREATMENT Always check the surface of the treatment electrode before treatment for damage, wounds or scratches. If there is damage or cracks in the special enamel paint, or black dots that cannot be removed, the treatment electrode must be replaced.
  • Page 45 Ensure that the insulation on the outside of the treatment probe and ground electrode cables are undamaged. Do not use damaged cables or probes. During treatment, explain that the patient should feel comfortable warmth. Avoid excessive manual pressure with the treatment probe. That will feel uncomfortable. Maintain verbal contact with the patient throughout the treatment.

There is no requirement for frequent service intervals from the manufacturer, but we recommend that the device is checked annually.

Bei dem Patienten könnte es dadurch kurzfristig zu einem leicht stechenden Gefühl an der Berührungsstelle kommen.

    5.3 Inbetriebnahme/Selbsttest Alle Funktionen des Geräts werden automatisch von einem eingebauten Mikroprozessor überprüft, wenn das Gerät mithilfe des Ein-/Aus-Schalters an der Rückseite des Geräts eingeschaltet wird. Das Gerät führt dann einen Selbsttest durch. Während das Gerät im Betrieb ist, wird der tatsächliche Strom am Ausgang immer automatisch gemessen und mit den spezifizierten Anforderungen verglichen.

Se sono presenti danni o crepe nella vernice smaltata o punti neri che non possono essere rimossi, è necessario sostituire l'elettrodo di trattamento. Il produttore non prevede alcun requisito per intervalli di manutenzione frequenti, ma raccomandiamo un controllo annuale del dispositivo.
