8. ENERGY SAVING TIPS

Try not to open the door too often, especially when the weather is humid and hot. When you open the door, close
it as soon as possible.
Check regularly that the unit is sufficiently ventilated (sufficient air circulation around and behind the appliance).
Under normal conditions, you should set the thermostat to the middle position.
Before placing freshly cooked food in the refrigerator or the freezer, make sure it has cooled to room temperature.
If the unit has an external condenser, the rear wall must always be clean and free of dust and dirt.
The appliance must be located in an area away from heat generating appliances, heating ducts or direct sunlight.
Be sure to wrap food properly and dry your containers before tightening the lid. This will reduce the formation of
frost inside the unit.
Storage bins / shelves must not be covered with foil, wax paper or a paper towel. These products impede the flow
of cold air and make your appliance less efficient.
Organize and label your food to reduce door openings and long searches. Take as many items as necessary and
close the door as soon as possible
 Check that the appliance is plugged in and properly connected to power.
 Low voltage.
 Power failure or short-circuit.

 It is normal that appliance operates for a longer period of time in summer
when the ambient temperature is higher.
 Do not fill the appliance with too much food at one time.
 Do not put foods in the appliance until they are cooled.
 Frequent opening of door may cause compressor to run longer.
 Check to see if the appliance is connected to power.
 Check to see if the light is damaged or worn out.
 The appliance door is blocked by food products or packages.
 Too full.
