5. MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR

DEFROSTING
This appliance is equipped with a self-defrosting system specially designed for frost-free refrigeration. Thus,
defrosting is not required.
CLEANING
1) Remove all shelves and fruit/vegetable bins. To remove the fruit/vegetable bins, first remove the lower
shelf from the door.
2) Wipe the inside of the appliance with a baking soda solution and rinse with lukewarm water using a
sponge or a well-wrung cloth. Dry the shelves and the fruit/vegetable bins completely before putting
them back into the refrigerator.
3) Use a damp cloth to clean the exterior and wipe clean.
4) The condenser grid on the back of the unit and the adjacent components may be cleaned with a soft
brush or a vacuum cleaner.
5) Condensation may appear on the outside of the unit. This may be due to a change in the ambient
temperature. Wipe away any moisture. If the problem persists, contact a service center.
CHANGING THE BULB
We recommend to have the lamp replaced by an authorized service center or by professionals.
MANIPULATING / MOVING YOUR UNIT
Hold the unit on the sides or at the base as you move it. Under no circumstances should it be lifted by holding the
edges of the top surface.
REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE
You must call a qualified service technician for service. Only original parts can be used on the unit. Under no
circumstances should you try to repair the unit yourself. Repairs carried out by unqualified persons may result
in serious personal injury or equipment malfunction. Contact an authorized service technician for all
maintenance or repair services.
ABSENCES FOR LONG PERIODS
When the appliance is not used for a long period of time, we strongly recommend disconnecting the unit,
emptying it from all food and cleaning the appliance thoroughly. Leave the door ajar to avoid odors and mildew.
WARNING: Do not cover the air and return air outlets of the appliance.

6. DISPOSING OF THE UNIT
