MEASURING TEMPERATURE
When you turn the device ON the ambient temperature will appear on the display.
Press the ON-switch (ON / SET) for approx. 3 seconds to change between temperature
units °C and °F.
ILLUMINATION
The LED light can be switched on at any time with the red LED switch (symbol LED). Simply
press the LED switch for approx. 3 seconds. Press the LED switch again to turn the light OFF.
AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF
After approx. 30 seconds of inactivity the device shuts off automatically. The device can be
turned on again by pressing the ON switch (ON / SET).
If the LED light is switched on the automatic shut off function is bypassed.
CHANGING THE BATTERIES
When the battery status light appears on the display the batteries must be changed. Please
proceed as described above.
We recommend that you change all four batteries at the same time to avoid uneven dis-
charge and possible damage caused by leaking batteries.
MAINTENANCE AND
CLEANING
Clean the device with a soft, damp cloth if necessary. Keep the device dry and clean. Do
not use abrasive or chemical cleaning agents.
Remove the batteries from the device if you do not intend to use it for a longer period of
time to avoid damage caused by leaking batteries.
The device is otherwise maintenance free.
