4.3 Adjusting the volume and headphones
A sound signal indicates the distance between the localizer and the camera head. It is intensified when
the localizer approaches the camera head.
Press the + key to increase the volume, the – key to reduce the volume.
Once you connect a set of headphones, the sound signal is audible only in the headphones.
4.4 Localizing the camera head
The transmitter in the Visioval® VX camera heads may be stopped. To check it, go to the camera menu
(refer to the VIRAX instruction manual on the VISIOVAL® VX camera, section 'Adjustments from the
camera menu').
The intensity of the sound signal increases when the localizer approaches the transmitter. The sounds
increase and burst faster.
4.5 Marking the position of the camera head
Once the camera head is localized, the place can be marked with the yellow pencil supplied.
4.6 Working with the telescopic rod
To localize the camera head in the ceiling or in pipes located in high or deep locations, use the
telescopic rod.
Slide the right-hand side of the surface (1) into the groove to fasten the telescopic
rod on the back of the localizer to be able to maintain the localizer on the wall
precisely.
Slide the elbowed side of the surface (2) into the groove to fasten the telescopic rod
to be able to view the screen during work.
Open the clamps of the telescopic rod (3). Pull the telescopic rod (4) at the length
required and close the clamps.
Visually the transmitter's position is displayed directly after the localizer is
started. An intensity indicator between 0 and 100 indicates the reception
intensity. The longitudinal axis on the virtual level symbolizes the distance
between the localizer and the transmitter. The virtual plane also indicates
the direction the localizer must be directed in to reach the camera head.
If the cursor is located immediately above the localizer icon, the camera
head is localized.
