GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING! Read all instructions and store them carefully. Non-compliance with any of the instructions indicated
hereafter may cause an electric shock, a fire and/or severe injury. In all warnings hereafter, the term 'power tool'
refers to your handheld (wired) power tool or battery (wireless) power tool.
1) Work zone
a) Keep the working zone clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas are prone to accidents
b) Do not use power tools in explosive atmospheres, e.g. in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dusts. Electric
tools create sparks which may cause dust or vapors to catch fire.
c) Do not expose to corrosive chemicals.
d) Keep children and by-standers away when using a power tool. Distractions may cause you to lose control of the tool.
2) Electrical safety
a) Plugs of power tools must match the mains. Never modify a plug in any way. Do not use adapters with grounded
power tools. Unmodified plugs and adapted mains reduce the risks of electrical shock.
b) Avoid all physical contact with earthed surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, cookers and refrigerators. The risk of electric
shock increases if your body is connected to the earth. The presence of water in a power tool increases the risk of electrical
shock
c) The risk of electric shock increases if your body is connected to the earth. The presence of water in a power tool
increases the risk of electrical shock.
d) The electric wire must be in good condition at all times. Never use the electric wire to carry, pull or disconnect a
power tool. Keep the lead away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or tangled electric wires increase
the risk of electric shock.
e) When using a power tool outdoors, use an extension designed for outdoor use. Using an electric wire suitable for
outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
3) Personal safety
a) When using a power tool, remain focused, watch what you are doing and use common sense. Do not use a power
tool when you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while using
power tools may cause severe injury.
b) Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protections. Safety equipment will reduce injuries, such as a dust mask, anti-
slipping safety shoes, ear defenders or protection used for the appropriate conditions.
c) Do not overstretch. Maintain appropriate bearing and balance at all times. This will enable better control over the
tool in unexpected situations.
d) Wear appropriate clothing. Do not wear bulky clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from
moving parts. Bulky clothing, jewellery and long hair may be caught up in moving parts.
4) Using and maintaining the power tool
a) Do not force the tool. Use the tool that is suitable for your application. The appropriate power tool will perform a
much better and safer job in the conditions it was designed for.
b) Do not use the power tool if the On/Off switch does not operate properly. Any power tool which cannot be controlled
by its switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Store unused power tools out of reach of children and ensure the power tool is not used by unskilled person or
persons not knowing these instructions. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of unskilled users.
d) Maintain your power tools. Check for any misalignment or locking of moving parts, broken parts and any other factor
likely to impact the tool's operation. Ensure any damage to the power tool is repaired before it is used. Numerous
accidents are due to poorly maintained tools.
e) Use the power tool, accessories, etc. as described in these instructions and as planned for this particular type of
power tool, while considering the working conditions and work to be done. Using this power tool for operations other
than those planned may cause a hazardous situation.
f) Do not insert the tool inside an object or a location likely to contain a live electrical charge.
5) Using and maintaining the batteries
a) Recharge the battery only using the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger adapted to the type of battery
may create a risk of fire when used with another battery.
b) Use power tools only with the batteries designated specifically. Using any other battery may cause a risk of injury and
fire.
c) In extreme conditions, the liquid can be ejected from the battery; avoid any contact. In case of accidental contact,
rinse with water. In case of contact between the liquid and the eyes, call a physician. Battery fluid leaks may cause
irritations or burns.
