OPERATION OF THE DEVICE:
The Visioval® VX Ø 40 mm and Ø 26 mm camera heads contain a transmitter coil which sends signals
at a frequency of 9.2 kHz. The two handles of the Localizer feature three coils measuring magnetic
fields. When the user approaches the camera head with the localizer, the magnetic field measured
increases.
The localizer calculates the difference of values between the signals received from the different coils
in order to indicate the direction the camera head is in.
A cursor on screen as well as a sound signal allow the user to localize the camera head precisely in the
pipe

BATTERY ACTIVATION BEFORE START-UP:
3 CHARGING THE BATTERY
The battery's charge level is indicated in the top right of the screen (figure 2, item 6).
The localizer switches off automatically when the battery's voltage is too low. In this case, the red LED
on the power button flashes. It can be restarted only by connecting it to the supply by means of the
charger.
To charge the battery, connect the USB connector (figure 1, item 5) and connect the power supply
block to mains.
While charging, the lower edge of the power supply button flashes red.
The battery is charged once the red LED stays on steady.
4 USE
Caution! Protect the localizer from humidity.
Remark: Whenever possible, electric devices located in the direct working environment must be
stopped before localization, as they may have an influence on the magnetic field.
4.1 On / Off
To switch the localizer on, press the On/Off button shortly (figure 1, item 2).
Once the device is on, the upper edge of the power supply button is lit green.
After about 2 seconds, the display appears on screen.
To stop the localizer, press the On/Off button for 1 second.
