6) Servicing
Your power tool must be serviced by a skilled repair shop using only genuine spare parts. This will ensure your power
tool remains safe.
Power supply safety
Do not probe the power supply with conductive objects. Creating a short-circuit on the battery terminals may
cause sparks, burns and/or an electric shock.
Do not use the power supply when damaged. A damaged power supply increases the risk of electric shock.
Use an appropriate power supply.
During use, ensure no object covers the power supply.
Disconnect the power supply when not in use. This reduces the risk of injury for children and unskilled persons.
Before any servicing or cleaning operation, disconnect the power supply from the mains outlet. This reduces the
risk of electric shock.
Do not use the power supply in a damp, wet or explosive environment. Do not expose to rain, snow or dirt. Dirt
or humidity increase the risk of electric shock.
Do not open the power supply casings. They should be repaired only by Virax's aftersales department.
Battery safety
Exposure to high temperatures may cause the battery to explode, also do not throw it into a fire. Charge the
battery at a temperature above 0 °C and below 40 °C. Storage for long periods at temperatures above 35 °C will
reduce the battery's capacity.
Whenever possible, store your tool at 25 °C to maximize the battery's lifetime. Careful use will avoid severe
damage to the battery. Abuse of the battery may cause a leak in the battery, an electric shock and burns.
Never use a makeshift or incompatible battery block. This may damage the product and/or cause injuries.
Avoid any contact with fluids leaking from the tool. The liquids may cause burns or skin irritation. In case of
accidental contact with the liquid, thoroughly rinse with water. In case of liquid in the eyes, contact a physician.
