Operating Instructions
5. In kitchens, garages, washrooms or
furnace/boiler rooms, since vapours from
cooking, vehicle exhausts, dust and moisture
can trigger a false alarm.
6. In very dusty or dirty areas. Dirt and dust can
collect on the smoke detector and impair its
operational reliability. Here, you should use a
heat detector, if necessary.
7. At a distance of less than 0.30 m from lighting
fixtures.
8. At a distance of less than 1.50 m from
fluorescent lamps.
Installation and Operational Start-Up of the
Smoke Detector
The enclosed mounting material is suitable for
concrete ceilings; for other sub-surfaces, suitable
mounting material must be obtained separately in
a specialty store.
Two-hole-mounting:
1. Mark the places for the holes on the ceiling and drill
2. Insert anchors in the holes
3. Fit the base on the holes
4. Screw the base onto the ceiling
5. Insert the smoke detector into the base and
turn clockwise
