q) SCRATCH
When the SCRATCH (vinyl) function is activated, you can scratch the track selected with the JOG wheel (2) in
play or pause mode like on a record player.
• Press the button VINYL (22) to activate or deactivate this function. When this function is activated, the button
is lit.
• Now turn the JOG wheel (2) to scratch.
r) Switching Off
• Interrupt playback by pressing the PLAY/PAUSE button
• Turn off the amplifier and/or mixing desks that might be connected.
• Only then switch off the CD payer with the mains switch (1).

12. Anti-Shock Memory

The CD player is equipped with a digital anti-shock memory. This reduces the risk of interruptions during CD play-
back when the device is subjected to vibrations.
The anti-shock memory is loaded automatically when the audio data is read. The device needs a few seconds until
the memory is full to work optimally.
The saved data quantity corresponds to approx. 15 seconds of music playback. The anti-shock memory continu-
es to play the music in case of blows that would otherwise cause an interruption.

13. Handling

• Never plug the mains plug into a mains socket immediately after the device has been taken from a cold to a
warm environment. The resulting condensation could destroy the device. Allow the device to reach room tem-
perature before connecting it. Wait until the condensation water has evaporated.
• Never disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket by pulling on the cable. Only unplug it by pulling on
the plug.
• Unplug the power supply if you do not use the device for an extended period of time.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket in case of a thunderstorm.
• Do not listen to excessively loud music for a long period of time. This may damage your hearing.
