i) Search
There are two different ways of searching for a certain place within a track.
Fast forward can be started with the SKIP (13 and 14) and the SKIP FB (32 and 33) buttons.
•
Press and hold the SKIP (14) or SKIP FB (33) buttons to start fast forward search.
•
Press and hold the SKIP (13) or SKIP FB (32) buttons to start fast backward search.
The JOG wheel (2) serves to exactly locate a certain point in a track. In pause mode, it is very easy to set the start
of the beat precisely with the rotary wheel, since the track is scanned in very small steps (frame) and the search
steps can be heard when turning the JOG wheel (2).

In order to search forwards, turn the wheel to the right. In order to search backwards, turn the wheel to the left.
•
In playback mode, the playback speed is altered with the JOG wheel (2)
speed is changed depends on the speed at which the wheel is turned.
Use the SKIP (13 and 14) and SKIP FB (32 and 33) buttons and the JOG wheel (2) to work in pause or play-
back mode.
j) CUE Function
You can select the starting point for playback using the CUE-function. The starting point is set automatically
(AUTO CUE).
The advantage of this function is that silent parts at the beginning of a track are not played so there is no pause
before the music starts.
Automatic setting of the CUE mark
•
The device automatically sets the CUE mark at the beginning of the track when a new track or folder was sel-
ected.
Back CUE
•
During playback, press the CUE button (11).
•
The device jumps to the start of the track or to the saved CUE point and enters into pause mode.
Checking the CUE mark
•
Press the CUE button (11).
•
The device returns to the CUE mark and pauses.
•
Hold down the CUE button (11).
•
The music is played from the CUE mark as long as you hold down the CUE (11) button.
•
When the button is released, the CD player returns to the CUE mark and pauses.
Deleting a CUE mark
•
The old CUE mark is deleted as soon as a new CUE mark is set.
