INTRODUCTION

The BIRIS II line of active infrared barriers generates alarm information upon interruption of 4 beams,
while avoiding generation of false alarms from birds, small animals, falling leaves...
The columns are comprised of a transmitter and a receiver column facing each other over the
distance to be protected. This creates an invisible, imperceptible detection zone.
These barriers employ a pulse infrared transmission operating on 4 selectable frequencies
(channels), thereby preventing any risk of interference among them.
The BIRIS II 100 and BIRIS II 200 type barriers have 3 operating modes allowing them to adapt to
different types of installations.

The BIRIS II 200 is equipped with an "alignment feedback" feature that allows optimization of its
installation for distances greater than 100 m.

MAIN FEATURES

 Maximum outdoor range:
BIRIS II 50: 50 m / 164ft
The range of an infrared barrier is directly related to visibility (range of visibility).
Maximum range of infrared barriers according to visibility:
A range of 200 m / 656 ft can be attained when visibility reaches 200 m / 656 ft.

When visibility is less than 60 m / 197 ft (dense fog), the range is 60 m / 197 ft.

Note: do not exceed a range of 100 m / 328 ft for all-weather operation.
 4 selectable frequencies make it possible to distinguish one barrier from another.
 3 operating modes for BIRIS II 100 and BIRIS II 200 are:
"AND", "OR", "AND/OR".
BIRIS II 50 barriers operate only in "AND" mode.
 Integrated alignment tools: sights, audio and visual signal levels (BIRIS II 100 and 200) of
incoming signal.
 The "alignment feedback" feature for BIRIS II 200 barriers allowing optimization of alignment of
the transmission column.
 Independent horizontal and vertical orientation for each cell.
 IP65 housing.
 Thermostat-regulated heating (not on NH models).
