Condensate formation

– Condensate formation in the casing
Condensate formation in the casing is practically impossible by use of double skinned, heat insulated casing lining(30
mm). Nevertheless, condensate formation must be calculated at periodical operation, very humid and hot media and by
temperature variations (intermitted operation). Condensate forms above all in not insulated ducts which then can run
also into the fan.
Therefore, the drain of condensate must be guaranteed!
A condensate drain including condensate spigot (Fig.8) is mounted at the bottom of the MegaBox casing.
The collected condensate water is discharged via the condensate drain. Therefore a connection to the local drainage
system must the guaranteed on site.

– Condensate formation in the motor
Temperature variations in the motor can occur depending on the application and/or protected outdoor installation.
Condensate formation is avoided by a membrane at the motor (Fig. 9).

Installation

The EC MegaBoxes are delivered as complete
units as standard, i.e. ready to plug in.
With elevated installation position (not at ground
level) e.g. at the wall it is to be guaranteed at the
unit is secured against movements. Here the wall
bracket MB-WK ... (accessories) is to be used
(Fig.10).
With setup on an even surface four anti vibration
mounts are attached to the mounting rails, each
in the corner of the unit, to prevent vibration
transmission between casing and contact surfa-
ce.
– Installation of outdoor cover hood
For protected outdoor installation a outdoor cover hood MB-WSD (accessories) must be mounted (Fig. 11).
The MegaBox is not suitable for totally unprotected weathering!
The outdoor cover hood is made from galvanised sheet steel and is designed to be mounted at the door. The assembly
takes place centrically, above the motor (Fig.12). Fastening screws are included in delivery (Screws: Filister head screws
ST 3.5x 9.5-C, drill holes ø 2.6 mm).
