4.0 Assembly

The MegaBox EC series are designed exclusively for vertical installation on the ground or wall (with bra-
cket) with discharge to the top! (Fig.6/7) (In case of deviating installation conditions the factory should be consulted!).
The series are especially suitable as commercial kitchen extract fans (corresponds to VDI 2052). Please pay
attention to a secure, durable mounting of the unit as well as a free access to the terminal box and the motor-impeller
unit.
Furthermore, prevent vibration transmission to buildings and ducting systems. Therefore, the EC-MegaBox is equipped
with four anti vibration mounts, attached to the two mounting rails and is additionally to be connected via flexible sleeves
FM.. (accessories) to the duct system.
- When installing in ducts make sure that there is a sufficiently long, straight piece of duct ( 2 x duct diameter)
in front and behind the fan as otherwise considerable performance reduction and noise increase will result.
- The MegaBox must be assembled so that service and maintenance can be performed easily and safely. In
this respect, space for door swing-out facility must be considered!
- The installation must be vertical with the condensate drain at the bottom!
