Using the device for the first time

➡ Plug the power pack supplied into the socket on the back of the instru-
ment.
Only use the boso power pack (order no. 410-7-156).
This power pack has been set to the correct voltage, stabilised and correctly
polarised. Power packs from alternative sources can damage the electronics
and result in loss of the manufacturer's warranty. They can also cause fire.

General information on measuring blood pressure

1. Dysrhythmia can impair the accuracy of the system or lead to incorrect re-
sults (see page 30).
2. Incorrect results may be produced for patients with a weak pulse (e.g. pa-
tients with pacemakers).The blood pressure instrument does not affect the
pacemaker.
3. Operation in the vicinity of strong electromagnetic fields (e.g. radiation de-
vices, mobile phones) can cause malfunction. Medical electrical equipment
is subject to specific precautions with regard to electromagnetic compati-
bility (EMC).
