Backrest variant 2:
Turn the tension wheel on the right side of the chair to the right to unlock
the adjusting mechanism. Then you can recline the backrest by leaning back
against it. Turn the wheel back to the left to fasten the adjustment as soon
as you have reached your desired position.
To return to the upright position, simply unlock the mechanism by turning
the tension wheel to the right again and sit upright - the backrest will come
to the upright position again. Then fasten the mechanism again by turning
the tension wheel back to the left.
CAUTION:
The mechanism supports the position of the
armchair but does not lock it! Do not force the backrest to move with the
adjusting mechanism fastened as this will cause premature wear which is
explicitly excluded from the himolla Limited 5 Year Guarantee.
Backrest variant 3:
The adjusting mechanism allows you to recline and remain in any position
along the recliner mechanism by using the handles. The adjusting mecha-
nism always has to be released when moving the chair into another posi-
tion by releasing the handles in order to avoid damage to the mechanism.
Failure to do so causes premature wear and is not covered by the himolla
Limited 5 Year Guarantee. The handles mounted on either side of the chair,
located adjacent to the seat allow you to adjust your very own favorite
position, for totally relaxed enjoyment of your chair. Both handles need to
be used simultaneously.
CAUTION:
Actuating the two handles supports retention of
the selected seat position but does not have a locking function.
Unlock both handles to shift your body backwards.
Only use the handles if you wish to remain in the desired position. The
handles are designed to reduce the movement of your chair and to maintain
a balanced position. It is not absolutely necessary to activate the handles
as their non-use allows free adaptation of the chair to your individual body
movements. In the same time, the head rest position adjusts itself automa-
tically to fully support your head and neck by bringing the headrest forward
as you recline the chair and by straightening out when you return the chair
into the upright position. The only exception is the Palena model which
offers the unique function of a height-adjustable and extendible headrest
and thus an optimal support for taller users. In addition, the headrest can
be manually adjusted to any position.
The active lumbar support feature acts as a brace for the spinal vertebrae.
In the upright position the brace is firm, providing excellent support to the
lower lumbar spine. As the chair reclines, the brace gradually flexes, always
providing support but getting softer when reaching the full recline position.
All glider chairs have a 360 degree swivel function.
