TALKOVER
Channel 1 features an auto talkover function that is switched on via the TALKOVER button (9). When
a signal of more than -3dB is applied to channel 1, the channels 2 to 6 are attenuated by 16dB so that
the microphone sound from channel 1 is clearly audible.
ECHO
Every channel features an ECHO EFFECT. Set the START/STOP switch (21) to START. Set the
balance between the echo signal and the channel sound via the EFFECT control (7). Set the required
effect via the controls REPEAT, DELAY and ECHO (18, 19 and 20).
CROSSFADER FUNCTION
This slider control allows you to switch quickly between the sounds of two different channels.
Example: Set the left ASSIGN button (12) to channel 1 and the right ASSIGN button to channel 2. If
you push the crossfader to the left, you hear only channel 1. If you push the crossfader to the right,
you can hear only channel 2. The slider controls of the two channels must of course be lifted. You can
make any combination of the two ASSIGN buttons. The crossfader function is switched off via the
CUT switch (11).
MASTER SECTION
The MASTER 1 & 2 controls (22, 23) set the total output level via both channels to the amplifier. The
level is clearly displayed on the stereo LED VU-meter (if master volume has been selected via the
MASTER/PFL switch). Always set the level in such a way that the red LEDs light up only shortly in
order to prevent overdrive. The RCA connectors for the connection to the amplifier are located at the
rear panel. They are identified as MASTER 1 & 2 (33, 34). Next to the MASTER outputs is another
stereo RCA connector marked REC (32) for connection of the output signal to a cassette or tape
recorder.
HEADPHONE SECTION
Connect a stereo headphone fitted with a 6.3mm jack plug to connector (25).Select the input channel
or the MASTER output signal to which you want to listen via the push-buttons next to the slider
controls of each channel. Set the volume via the PFL LEVEL (24) knob.
SWITCHING ON
Once the audio sources and the amplifier have been connected to the mixer, set all slider controls to
the minimum. Only then switch on the power of the mixer (15) and after that, the amplifier.
REPLACEMENT OF THE CROSSFADER
This control is used very frequently and needs replacement after some time. This is simple to do.
Remove the two small screws on the small panel of the control with a cross-headed screwdriver. Pull
out the control and unplug the connectors. Plug the connectors back to a new crossfader (this can
only be done in one way), insert the control back into the mixer and fasten the two screws.
POSSIBLE WIRING OF THE COMBINED MICROPHONE INPUT
1 = Ground (earth)
2= Signal +
3= Signal -
