8.2 Shutdown
Before maintenance or storage, remove power to the instrument and stop the flow of sample water
and cooling water to the instrument. Refer to the illustrated steps in
Figure
10.
Note: If cooling water is not connected to the instrument, there is only one shutoff valve.

8.3 Clean the sensors
1. Examine the sensor(s) periodically for unwanted material.
2. Clean the sensor when unwanted material collects on the surface of the electrode or when
performance decreases. Refer to the Polymetron 8315 sensor documentation.
3. If a sensor shows low performance after cleaning, replace the sensor.
