6.3.4 Production of fastening holes

Fastening options
The device may be fastened by means of different holes on
the enclosure.
a) by means of tapped holes (1) for closing the upper enclo-
sure section
b) by means of the holes (2) within the enclosure
When fastening the device according to version b),
protection class 2 is no longer met without an addi-
tional cover of the fastening screws in the enclosure
(parasitic voltage).
If you want compliance with protection class 2, cover
the fastening screws by means of suitable protective
caps.
• Where necessary, consult your specialist dealer or
MENNEKES.
The installation is described in example a).
Specifications on drilling dimensions can be found in the
"Technical data" chapter.
• Determine the drilling dimensions for the device and put
marks on the wall accordingly.
• Select suitable fastening elements (dowels, screws) and
observe the manufacturer's information regarding the
installation.
• Drill the anchor points and insert the dowels.

6.3.5 Opening the device

For installation purposes, the device is to be opened.
The procedure is described in the example with hinged
enclosure cover. For some devices, a special key is required,
which is included in the scope of delivery.

• Turn the enclosure screw (1) counter-clockwise by means
of suitable tools.

• Insert the special key (1) into the interlock (2) and turn it
counter-clockwise.
