Instructions for operating the mowing machine
(fig. 9)
Move the mowing machine evenly from oneside to
another.
If possible, mow by using the left half of the mowing
machine. The mowed parts of plants and / or stones
will thus be hurled forward away from the operating
person.
The best possible cutting result are achieved when
you hold the trimmer with an angle of 20°- 30° to
the left side.
Avoid contact between the mowing string and obsta-
cles such as fences, walls, stones, etc. This leads to
excessive wear and tear.
Replacing the mowing string
Attention - risk of injury! Always remove the re-
chargeable battery from the device before all work.
Push the two locking devices (13) at the sides of the
cutting head, and remove the cutting head cover (12).
Remove the used thread coil and put in the new coil (14)
such that the end of the thread comes out of the outlet
(15) at the side of the cutting head (Fig. 11). Finally,
close the cover by pushing it in its seat. Both locks must
properly engage.
A replacement spool may be stored in a hinged compart-
ment on the grip housing (fig. 12).
To open the compartment cover, pull firmly on the
marked positions. After the spool has been removed,
replace the cover firmly.
Adjusting the mowing string
• Whenever the mowing performance decreases, it is
necessary to adjust (to extend) the mowing string.
• Turn the mowing machine on and hold it above the
grass.
• With the motor running, knock the head on the grass
(fig. 13). The string will automatically extend and the
cutting device will reduce it down to the right length.
Note: If the string is shorter than 2.5 cm, it is necessary
to adjust it manually. Press the red push-button on the
coil until it reaches the stop and pull the end of the string.
If you cannot see the end of the string at all, proceed as
described in „Replacing the Mowing String".
Trouble shooting
• Cutting line disappears into spool: Remove spool,
pull end of line through the metal outlet and reinsert
spool. In case nylon line is used up insert a new spool
with line.
Do not make any other repairs on your own; have
your trimmer checked and repaired by an authorised
dealer.

Repair service

Repairs to electric power tools should only be carried out
by a specialised electrician.
Information for environmental protection/
disposal
Dispose of the machine properly after it is worn out. Dis-
connect the mains cable in order to prevent misuse. Do
not dispose of the machine with the household waste. In
the interest of environmental protection, take it to a coll-
ection point for electric machines. Your responsible local
authority can provide you with addresses and operating
times. Also take the packaging materials and worn out
accessories to the appropriate collection points.
Only for EU countries
Do not discard electric tools in the household
waste!
In accordance with European Directive 2012/19/EC
on waste electrical and electronic equipment and its
implementation in national law, waste electric tools must
be collected separately for environmentally-compatible
re-use.
Recycling alternative to the return invitation:
Instead of returning the electric equipment, the owner is
alternatively obligated to take part in the proper recycling
in the case of relinquishment of ownership. The waste
equipment can also be taken to a collection facility which
disposes of it in the sense of the national recycling ma-
nagement and waste acts. This does not pertain to the
accessory parts and auxiliary equipment without elec-
trical components accompanying the waste equipment.
