The Prototype:
Ward Kimball, the famous Disney
animator and imagineer, created
his colorful «Chloe» steamer from
an old sugar plantation locomoti-
ve. Today, Kimball runs this wor-
king loco on his famous Grizzly
Flats Railroad, «America's first
privately operated, full size,
backyard railroad».
This
craftsman-quality
model captures Kimball's creation
with intricate detailing, colorful
livery and a low-profile drive
mechanism. You can use Chloe to
pull a charming consist, open
cars feature eye-catching colors,
elegant detailing and reversible
seats.

- Drive unit with five-pole Bühler
motor sheltered from dust and
dirt
Drive Mechanism:
This model is powered by a five-
pole Bühler motor. Two axles are
powered by a V-belt.
Cleaning:
Dirty locomotives can be cleaned
using detergent and water.
Lubrication:
The axles should be occasionally
lubricated with a drop of LGB
Maintenance Oil (Nr. 50019). No
other lubrication is necessary.
Replacing the wheel sets,
power pick-up shoes,
commutator brushes and
motors:
This must only be carried out in
a specialist workshop.
Should you however decide to do
this, naturally at your own risk,
you should take care to ensure
that when the connecting rods are
replaced onto the wheel pivots
that the wheels do not jam when
