II.IV Securing the wall mount kit
A wall mount kit consists of a fixed U-shape wall bracket provided with 2 slotted holes used to secure the stainless steel U-shape
brackets, and 2 holes to fix this to the wall. The stainless steel U-shape brackets are positioned around the ladder rung and through
the U-shape bracket and are secured using 2 nyloc nuts – M8.
Make sure that the U-shape brackets are positioned just below a rung.

Inspection, preparation and maintenance
Inspect the hoop/escape ladder frequently for defects, such as deformation or wear.
!
Never use a damaged or broken hoop/escape ladder. Temporary repairs are not permitted.
!
Make sure that any damage to the hoop/escape ladder is repaired as soon as possible by a professional in this field.
!
Before climbing, ensure that the hoop/escape ladder is free, as far as possible, from contamination by substances such as wet
!
paint, mud, snow and oil.
Dispose of a ladder if it is broken, worn-out or irreparable.
!
II.VI Climbing and use
Only use the hoop/escape ladder for the purpose for which it has been made.
!
No more than one person should stand per 2.5 m on a hoop/escape ladder.
!
Preferably use two hands to climb the hoop/escape ladder and always face the ladder.
!
When using the hoop/escape ladder, wear suitable footwear without slippery or dirty soles (no slippers, high-heeled shoes or
!
clogs).
II.VII Additional instructions when using the hoop/escape ladder
Remain alert. Concentrate when climbing a hoop/escape ladder and never do so under the influence of alcohol, medication or
!
substances that may affect your ability to react.
Never wear baggy clothing or jewellery. These could become caught when ascending or descending the hoop/escape ladder,
!
which could lead to a fall.
Take care when using electrical equipment. Aluminium hoop/escape ladders conduct electric current. Always take precautions
!
so that a power cable cannot become trapped or become caught when climbing the hoop/escape ladder. Check beforehand
that the electrical cable of your tool is not damaged.
Do not leave any tools or other equipment at the bottom of the hoop/escape ladder which you might trip over.
