9.6. Setting the breathing air supply
Note!
The protection provided by the half mask is only ensured if the following
criteria are met.
Standard version
■ The pressure gauge [1-13] must be checked every time the spray
gun is put into use. The pressure gauge must be in the green range
during the entire operation. Increase operating pressure if necessary.
Alternative model
■ The minimum operating pressure on the filter unit [2-7] must be 4 bar.
Adjust operating pressure if necessary.
Note!
The belt unit is equipped with a control valve [7-2] / [8-2]. A breathing
air supply with fixed parameters independent of specific requirements
can be set with the help of this control valve.
■ Open cut-off valve on air connection [1-11] / [2-9].
■ Set breathing air supply via control valve [7-2] / [8-2].
10. Maintenance and repairs
The following chapter describes the procedures for maintenance and
service work to the half mask. Maintenance and service work may only be
carried out by specialist personnel.
10.1. Exchange activated carbon adsorber (standard model)
Note!
After the expiration of the expected useful life of max. 3 months the acti-
vated carbon adsorber must be exchanged. The current expected useful
life can be read on the date indicator [7-5] on the protection cage.
■ Close cut-off valve on air connection [1-11].
■ Pull compressed air supply off the air connection [7-6].
■ Turn protection cage [7-4] to the left and remove it.
