Fitting procedure
* The positions of the screw holes in the surface alignment magnets Ⓖ differ according
to the type of main unit to be mounted.
Main unit rear
Note
• Mount the surface alignment magnets Ⓖ in parallel with the main unit.
If protruding from the outer edge of the main unit, they may touch an
adjacent unit. Be careful when fitting.
• The surface alignment magnets Ⓖ are strong.
Keep watches, magnetic cards (credit cards), etc., away from them.
4. Checking the strength of the place
of installation
① The installation mount weighs approxi-
mately 21 kg (46.3 lbs) [TY-VK55LV2] or
20 kg (44.1 lbs) [TY-VK49LV2]. See the
main unit's operating instructions for the
weight of the main unit to be mounted
onto the installation mount.
② Referring to the external dimensions dia-
grams (pages 52 to 53), check the forms
of the mount holes and the strength of
the place of installation, and if strength
is lacking, reinforce suffi ciently.
Note
• Mount the necessary number of bolts
(not included) in positions allowing the
installation mount to be fastened securely.
Be sure to fasten with bolts.
5. Mounting the installation mount on the mount surface
Determine the positions of the holes to be used for mounting the installation mount to the
mount surface based on the external dimensions diagrams (pages 52 to 53), then mount
the installation mount onto the mount surface.
① When mounting the installation mount, check the upward direction then mount.
② Use a level gauge, etc., to correct for any slanting as you fasten the bolts to the
mount surface.

• When mounting multiple units, first mount the unit that will serve as the base position.

Mount the magnet fi xing screws Ⓑ in the
appropriately positioned holes.
• Small holes ........ M4
(Tightening torque: 1.2 to 1.5 N·m)
• Large holes........ M6
(Tightening torque: 1.8 to 2.2 N·m)
* With the magnets unlocked (page 35), screw the
magnets while pushing them outward.
* For the TH-55VF1H and some other models, fasten
the magnets into the large screw holes with the
M4 screws.
• If using the magnet fixing screws Ⓑ , fasten the surface
alignment magnets Ⓖ while pulling them toward the outer
edge of the main unit (in the direction indicated by the
arrow marking).
