z The maxTV is only suitable for watch-
ing television and must not be used
for driving!
z Protect your maxTV from impact
and excessive heat! Never place the
maxTV on heaters or in sunlight!
Earpiece adjustment
The plastic earpieces w can be bent in
the desired position without warming.
An internal metal wire ensures that the
earpieces remain in this position.
Adjustment
The optical characteristics of the maxTV
have been calculated for a distance of
3 m. The maxTV offers a diopter adjust-
ment (option for correcting defective
vision) of ±3 dpt. It can be adjusted for
each eye individually. You can also use the
diopter adjustment to adapt the glasses
to other distances besides 3 m.
Position yourself at the desired distance
from the television and put on your
maxTV.
Keep your left eye closed and turn the
knurled ring q until the television image
seen by your right eye is in sharp focus.
Do the same with the other eye.
Notes
Under the following circumstances, it
might not be possible to see the televi-
sion image perfectly:
– If the maxTV is bent open too far, for
example due to an unusually large
head, doubled images might occur, be-
cause the optical axes of the two lens
systems are not in parallel any more.
– A very small or very large pupil
distance (eye distance) can reduce the
performance quality, because the im-
age is not viewed through the optical
zones of the maxTV any more.
– If you normally have glasses with diop-
ters beyond ±3, the diopter adjustment
feature of the maxTV cannot entirely
compensate the defective vision. In this
case, change your distance to the TV
until the image is in focus.
– If you usually wear glasses with
cylindrical lenses (e. g. for astigmatism),
it might not be possible to achieve
perfect focus. This depends on the
strength of the cylinder.
Care instructions
maxTV is a high-quality, technologically
advanced, complex optical aid and needs
to be handled and cared for accordingly.
For protection against dust and external
influences, we recommend that you store
it in the case that is included in the scope
of supply.
z Do not use alcohol or organic sol-
vents to clean the maxTV!
z Do not clean MAX TV in an ultrasonic
bath!
Clean the maxTV with a soft cotton or line
cloth (e. g. a glasses cloth). Moisten the
cleaning cloth to remove more persistent
stains (e.g. finger marks).
