Model Operation
CAUTION: Never fly over spectators or other pilots and always keep a sufficient security distance to your model.
CAUTION: Never endanger people or animals.
CAUTION: Never fly or drive close to high voltage power lines or residential areas.
CAUTION: Also do not operate your model close to Watergates and public shipping traffic.
CAUTION: Do not operate your model on public streets, highways, paths and places etc. but in approved areas
only.
CAUTION: You may not operate your equipment during a thunder storm.
CAUTION: Before taking your model into operation, inform all pedestrians and spectators about all potential risks
that may occur from your model. Also warn them to keep a safety distance of at least 5 m behind the rotor blade
level (air-screw level)!
CAUTION: Model flight may only be operated at outdoor temperatures of 0° C to +30° C! More extreme tempe-
ratures may result in changes of e.g. the battery capacity, material characteristics and lead to defective adhesive
joints.
CAUTION: Each model pilot has to behave in a way that neither the public security or order - especially other
persons and properties - nor the order of model flight operation is being endangered or disturbed!
CAUTION: Never stay inside or in front of the rotating level of the rotor blades (air-screws)! It might happen that
a part or even the complete rotor blades (air-screws) become unscrewed and fly away with high speed and lots of
energy whereby you and third parties could be injured!
CAUTION: The risk of a rotor blade (air-screws) blockage has to be eliminated!
CAUTION: Especially watch out for lose clothes like scarfs, wide shirts etc. Those might get sucked in by the
blast and get into the rotor blade circle (into the air-screw)!
CAUTION: Air-screws (propeller), rotors of helicopters, ship propellers and generally all moving parts represent a
continuous risk of injury. Avoid touching these parts by all means.
To navigate the model the transmitter's antenna always has to be fully extended - excluded are 2.4 GHz transmit-
ters for their antennas already feature a specific length. Do not "aim" at the model with the transmitter antenna
during operation. The transmitter has the least emission into that direction. Best is the antenna's sideways po-
sition to the model. During simultaneous operation of remote controls on adjacent channels the drivers or pilots
should be standing together in a lose group. Pilots who are standing away do not only endanger their own model
but also the models of other pilots.
Insurance
Earthbound models as well as gliders without driving motor are normally insured as part of personal liability in-
surances. For motor flight models an additional insurance or an extension is necessary. Review your insurance
policy and add an insurance if necessary.
