ards, clean the inside of the housing, the rack, baking tray and the rotating spit thoroughly
before you fi rst use them (see the "Cleaning" section).
4. Place the device on a dry and heat-resistant, fl at surface a suffi cient distance away from
fl ammable objects. Make sure that the device is not accessible to children.
5. Unwind the mains cable and insert the plug into a properly installed and earthed 230 V

6. You should perform the initial start-up without any food since smells or smoke may de-

way for about 15 minutes (see the "Use" section). During this time, make sure the room is

Operation

PLEASE NOTE!
❐ CAUTION: Danger of burns! The device will become very hot during use. Please make
sure that you do not come into contact with heated parts while or after using the device.
Use oven cloths or kitchen gloves when you open the glass door and would like to put in
or remove food.
❐ Ensure that there is suffi cient ventilation while the device is in operation.
❐ Ensure that the food you wish to prepare does not touch the heating elements inside the
device.
❐ Do not place food containing grease or oil directly onto the rack so that the bottom heat-
ing elements are not contaminated by fat/oil dripping down. Use the baking tray supplied
with the product!
❐ When you use the rotating spit, only grill using the top heat and cover the bottom heat-
ing elements with the baking tray.
❐ The top heating elements only light up if they are heating. To maintain the temperature
which is set, they (and therefore the inside light as well) switch on and off several times
during operation.
Generally it is not necessary to preheat the device. Nevertheless, when prepar-
ing food which is to be cooked with a high degree of accuracy, preheating is
advisable in order to be able to determine the cooking time exactly.
For the preparation of deep-frozen items, please follow the time and tempera-
ture specifi cations of the producer.
