Troubleshooting

If the device should stop working properly, fi rst check whether you are able to correct the
problem yourself. If you are not, contact the Customer Service department (see the "Custom-
er Service" section). Do not try to repair a faulty device yourself!

Possible cause/solution
• Is the operating switch / temperature control set to the
OFF position?
• Is the timer activated?
• Is the plug inserted in the mains socket correctly?
• Is the mains socket defective? Try another mains socket.
• Check the fuse of your mains connection.
• Use the timer to extend the baking time.
• If necessary, vary the top and bottom heat or increase
the temperature.
• On initial start-up: Any coating residues that may remain
may result in a small amount of odour or smoke devel-
opment. This is normal. Allow the device to heat up for
about 15 minutes (see the "Use" section). During this
time, make sure the room is well ventilated, e.g. with
wide-open windows!
• The device has already been used: Is the interior of the
oven or are the heating elements dirty or contaminat-
ed? Follow the instructions in the "Cleaning" section.
