Step 3: INFINIUM
The INFINIUM Valve Life Monitoring circuitry
(EN)
continuously monitors the output valve biasing for
Valve Life
optimum performance and consistent tone, even as
Monitoring
the valves age. When an output valve does need to
be replaced, the valve's matching LED on the back
panel will light permanently.
This circuitry monitors each valve individually,
which means you do not need to purchase matched
valve sets. Each valve will operate at ideal current
levels regardless of deviations in the mains voltage.
When you do need to replace a valve, you may plug
in the new valve and immediately begin using the
amplifier; you will not need a technician to set up
the bias for the new valve. You may also freely mix
any combination of EL34/6550- and 6L6/5881-
based valves.
To replace a faulty output valve:
1. Switch off the amplifier and wait for the output
valves to cool down to a safe temperature
before touching them.
2. Press down the tube retainer to the chassis
using two fingers of one hand, and then gently
pull on the valve while lightly rocking back and
forth until the valve loosens and slides out of
the socket.
3. Carefully insert the new valve, making sure
the new valve's prongs are properly aligned
with the matching holes and the center coding
pin is aligned with the corresponding notch in
the socket.
4. Gently push the new valve until it seats firmly in
the socket.
5. Switch the amplifier back on in Standby mode.
6. When the valves have warmed up to operating
temperature, you may switch the amplifier out
of Standby mode.
7. The INFINIUM Valve Life Monitoring LEDs should
now turn off, and you can begin playing.

When one of the front panel lights starts flashing
regularly, this is to indicate the amp cannot
work due to too many tube issues. In this case
we recommend replacing the faulty power amp
tubes immediately.
Danger!
High voltage! Risk of death!
High voltages of up to 500 V DC may be present
inside the casing for long periods after being
disconnected from the mains. To avoid lethal
electric shock, do not open the casing. There are
no user-serviceable components inside. Refer all
maintenance to qualified service personnel.
Remove the mains cable when the unit is not
in use.
The parts inside the amplifier operate at high
voltages and high temperatures. To avoid
damage and injury that results from fire or
electric shock, do not drop or spill anything into
the unit's casing.

Para sustituir una válvula de salida averiada:
1. Apague el amplificador y espere hasta que la
temperatura de las válvulas de salida se reduzca
hasta un nivel seguro antes de tocarlas.
2. Con dos dedos de una mano, empuje hacia
abajo la sujeción de la válvula (llévele hacia el
chasis) y después tire de la válvula a la vez que
la zarandea de un lado a otro con cuidado hasta
que se suelte y salga del conector.
3. Introduzca con suavidad la nueva válvula,
asegurándose de que sus bornes queden
perfectamente alineados con los agujeros del
conector y que el pin central esté debidamente
alineado con su conector.
4. Con cuidado empuje hacia abajo la nueva
válvula hasta que quede firmemente sujeta en
el conector.
5. Vuelva a conectar el amplificador y haga que
quede en el modo Standby (espera).
6. Una vez que las válvulas se hayan precalentadas
y hayan llegado a su temperatura operativa
óptica, puede activar del todo el amplificador
(desactivar el modo Standby).
7. Los pilotos INFINIUM Valve Life Monitoring
deberían apagarse y ya podrá empezar a tocar.

Si una de las luces del panel frontal empieza
a parpadear regularmente, indica que el
amplificador no puede funcionar correctamente
debido a problemas con las válvulas. En este caso
recomendamos reemplazar inmediatamente las
válvulas defectuosas.

Incluso después de apagar el amplificador
pueden existir tensiones de hasta 500 V DC en
el interior del amplificador. Para evitar choques
eléctricos fatales no retire las tapas superior o
trasera del aparato. No hay partes en el interior
del aparato que puedan ser reparadas por el
usuario. Las reparaciones deben ser llevadas a
cabo exclusivamente por personal cualificado.
Desenchufe el aparato de la red de corriente
eléctrica si no lo va a utilizar.
Las partes en el interior del amplificador operan
con tensiones muy altas y alcanzan temperaturas
muy elevadas. Para evitar lesiones o daños
debidos a fuego o choque eléctrico no deje caer
objetos o liquidos en el interior del aparato.
