J 6 M12 Square nuts and Cages
ZE 1 Electrical Plate (ZEP2)
For use with either
CH18 Flange neck option – ZF2033. Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or
Class A50-1 or A50-X towball, which dimensionally conforms to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the
towbar.
CH18Q Detachable neck option – ZQ2070. Please refer to ZQ fitting instructions for installation.
CH18QF Detachable flange neck option – ZQF2070. Please refer to ZQF fitting instructions for installation.
FITTING
1. Remove light clusters – two screws on rear panel, pull rearwards and unclip wiring plug
2. To remove bumper, undo two screws each side on rear panel, three screws in wheel arch, one push stud behind light
cluster and four push studs on lower edge of bumper. Note: if vehicle has reversing sensors, unclip mini rear loom at
multi plug under light cluster, slide bumper rearwards and store carefully.
3. Remove crash beam fixings on underside of chassis rail, along with towing eye. To improve access, the exhaust can be
lowered from its rubber. Slide crashbeam rearwards and retain for refittment should the towbar be removed.
4. Assemble Cage nuts (J), attach to captive strap (D) as per separate fitting instructions and insert into sidearms (B).
5. Insert sidearms (B) into chassis rail and loosely secure with fixings (G).
6. Loosely attach crosstube (A) to sidearms (B) using bolts (H). Attach electrical plate (ZE).
7. Attach neck option with forward most bolt(s), and allow neck to hang down, before refitting bumper. Bumper re-fitment is
the reversal of removal. Finally, rotate neck upwards and fit rearward most neck bolt(s).
8. Fully tighten all fixings to torque as listed below.
Recommended torque settings: Grade 8.8 bolts: M12 - 80 Nm, M16 – 200Nm
