Please see the main robbe catalogue for details of alternative
battery chargers, tools and aids to building.
Sequence of assembly
Before you start construction, please study the illustrations and the
associated brief texts so that you have a clear understanding of
each stage.
The servos are already installed, connected to the control surfaces,
and fitted with extension leads where required.
The aeroplane can be completed ready to fly in a very short time.
Please read right through these instructions, the separate informa-
tion sheets and the safety notes before attempting to assemble and
fly the model, as this will make it much easier to complete the tasks
required.
All directions, such as "right-hand", are as shown from the tail of
the model looking forward.
Suitable adhesives (for repairs)
For this model please use the following adhesive exclusively:
robbe Speed Type 2 cyano-acrylate, No. 5063,
with the associated
Activator, No. 5017.

Assembly and operating instructions
Notes on the radio control system
approx. 2570 mm
For this model you require a radio control system with at least five
approx. 1510 mm
channels and mixer facilities.
approx. 57 dm²
approx. 2050 g
The receiving system of the electric version is powered by the
approx. 36 g/dm²
speed controller's integral BEC system.
The wing-mounted servos are connected to the receiver by means
of Y-leads; this enables the model to be flown using just a five-
channel radio control system. If your RC system offers more than
five channels and additional mixer facilities, you may wish to repla-
ce the Y-leads with servo extension leads. This gives you the
opportunity to mix the wing-servos together and set up differential
travel - see the description of the radio control system.
Additional items required:
Four 40 cm servo extension leads, Order No. 4645
Order No.
Before checking the working systems, set the control surfaces to
4042
neutral from the transmitter (transmitter sticks and trims central). If
5154
the servos are fitted with output discs or levers, remove them at this
point.
When preparing to fly the model always start by moving the thrott-
8540
le stick to the "Motor stopped" position before switching the trans-
mitter on; only then connect the airborne battery.
At the end of a flight always disconnect the battery from the speed
controller before switching the transmitter off.
Whenever you are installing or otherwise handling the radio con-
trol system components, motor or speed controller, be sure to
observe the instructions supplied with those units.
It is also important to study the instructions provided with the
battery and battery charger before using them for the first time.
Painting, decals
The model is supplied with decals already applied. There is no need
to paint the aeroplane.

- The canopy is held in place by a lug at the front and a magnetic
closure at the rear. To open the canopy simply raise it at the rear
and pull it upward.
Assembling the model
Figs. 3 and 4
- Connect the elevator servo to the extension lead, which is alrea-
dy installed in the fin.
- Take care to maintain the correct colour coding when connecting
the leads.
Fig. 5
- Place the tailplane on the fin, ensuring that the servo lead does
not get snagged, i.e. it should be entirely inside the compartment
in the fin.
- Fix the tailplane to the fin using the M3 x 47 screws and 3 Ø x 8
Ø x 0.8 mm washers supplied.
Figs. 6 and 7
- Locate the two short double extension leads for the wing servos
inside the fuselage, route them out of the wing root openings and
deploy them in the cable ducts on the underside of the root fai-
rings.
- To avoid confusion later, mark the right and left cable looms with
drops of different colour paint or strips of insulating tape.
Fig. 8
- Mark the centre-point "M" on the aluminium tube wing joiner,
and slide it into the right-hand wing panel.
Fig. 9
- Slide the tube in as far as the centre-point "M".
Fig. 10
- Slide the right-hand wing panel into the fuselage, connecting the
servos to the double-leads on the right-hand side.
- Use bridging plugs and take care to maintain the correct colour
coding.
