∙ To interrupt the heating process, the
appliance can be switched off by pressing
the START/CANCEL button again.
∙ To pour hot water, remove the container
from its base.
∙ To prevent hot steam from being emitted,
ensure that the lid remains closed while
pouring out the water.
∙ Info: If the kettle is turned on again
shortly after a heating cycle has been
completed and the temperature of the
water remaining in the kettle is above
the temperature that was selected, the
indicator light on the corresponding
selection button stays on.
∙ Remove the plug from the wall outlet after
use.
∙ Always pour out any residual water from
the container after use.
Power cord wind-up storage
The wind-up power cord storage under the
base facilitates limiting the length of the
power cord during use and makes it easy to
store the appliance.
Descaling
Depending on the water quality in your area,
lime deposits may build up on the heating
plate. It is advisable to remove any such
deposits at regular intervals. Any warranty
claim will be null and void if the kettle
malfunctions because of insuffi cient
descaling.

A mixture of 0.5 litres of water and 40 ml of
vinegar essence is suitable.
∙ Pour the descaler in.
∙ Switch the appliance on and let the
solution reach boiling point.
∙ Leave it to take effect for a short period.
∙ To clean the container after descaling,
rinse thoroughly with clean water.
∙ During descaling, ensure suffi cient
ventilation and do not inhale any vinegar
vapours.
∙ Do not pour descalers down enamel-
coated sinks.
Cleaning and care
∙ Before cleaning the appliance, ensure it is
disconnected from the power supply and
has cooled down completely.
∙ To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not
clean the kettle and the base with water
and do not immerse them in water. Do not
clean under running water.
∙ For cleaning, a slightly damp, lint-free
cloth may be used.
∙ Do not use abrasives or harsh cleaning
solutions, and do not use hard brushes
for cleaning.
Disposal
