4.0 General installation overview
The installation is finished.
Basing on the difference (gap) between the pH level of your swimming-pool water and 7,3 pH, it might take
a short or long time to stabilize the pH regulation. An excessive dosage might destroy the water equilibrium.
5.0 Normal working operation
The left hand side led constantly indicate if the pump is regulated to dose a pH+ chemical products (red led)
or a pH- chemical product (green led).
The right hand side led showing the pH status, can be:
-
Fixed green when pH value is correct
-
Flashing green when the pump is dosing to correct pH value
-
Flashing red when the pH value is too high or too low; in this case dosage is interrupted.
6.0 Non standard hydraulic installation
a) In case you do not intend to use the DN50 PVC adapter included into the package, you need to drill
a 24 mm vertical hole on your hydraulic pipe line.
b) In case you want to assembly the electrode holder directly on a DN63 hydraulic pipe line, you need
to install the distance fixing spacers included in the kit.
c) In case you intend to fix the pump to the wall instead of on the electrode holder, use the fixing slide
bracket and screws included in the kit.
7.0 Suggestion regarding the chemical products to be used
7.1 Recommended products
For the pH reduction, use the pH- product normally used (ask your usual supplier/installer)
For the pH increase, use the pH+ product normally used (ask your usual supplier/installer)
7.2 Not-Recommended products
We do NOT recommend to use hydrochloric acid (HCl) that might damage the pump. In case it might be
necessary to dose this chemical product we recommend to dilute it adding 5 litres water each litre of acid.
8.0 Unstable Ph regulation
-
Verify the TAC value in the water; generally it should be more than 10° F (=100 mg/l).
-
Introduce the pH electrode into the 7,3 pH buffer solution to check the correct potentiometer position.
-
Verify if the electrode end is properly clean; if it's covered by sun-cream or other dirt materials, wash
it with lukewarm water until it's duly clean and install the electrode again.
-
Replace the electrode (it's recommended to replace the electrode every season begin)
