1.1 Warnings
The main purpose of the MAREVA manual is to provide all needed instructions for a correct installation, use
and maintenance of the pump, thus granting the best possible working condition and longer life. The manual
contains also the suggested "after sales" procedures.
Reed carefully the instruction manual in order to assure a safe installation, avoid mistakes/problems and
get the best performances.

Preserve the manual after installation for future reference.

At receipt of the goods, please check if the pump work properly and verify if all components are
included into the kit; in case of failure please contact a qualified technical service personnel.

Verify the electrical data compatibility between pump and mains, before installation.

NEVER operate on the product with wet hands and/or feet, or with barefoot.

Do not leave the apparatus open.

Specialized personnel only can operate on the pump.

In case of problems or failure during service, disconnect the pump and inform the Customer Service
department.

Always use original spare parts.

The electrical cable connection have to comply with the norms in force.

1.2 Norms and Standards
Our pumps are manufactured according to the following European regulations in force:

N. 89/336/CEE "electromagnetic compatibility" CE.
-
N. 73/23/CEE "low voltage directive" and amendment N. 93/68/CEE.

ISO 14001:1996 and ISO 9001-2000 as specified on our Quality Manual. To get the best results it's
important to refer to the Quality Manual.

The Company MAREVA will not be responsible in case of failure or problems due to the use of non
conform and/or incompatible materials with the apparatus.

Norm C 15-100.

The installation and starting of the electrics apparatus have to be done in a professional way, in
order to guarantee the safety of people and materials. The electrical installation procedures
regarding swimming pools are specified on the norm C 15-100, section 702, issued by U.T.E. (Union
Technique de l'Electricité).
These rules are related to the swimming pool basin, including foot-bath and the surrounding places
(spaces).
Space (volume) Classification
Three reference volumes are determined basing on the following dimensions:
Volumes 0 and 1 :
None apparatus have to be installed inside these volumes.
Exception: small swimming pools. Small power socket are admitted with reservation:

installation at a minimum distance of 1,25 m from the swimming-pool edge, and at minimum height
of 0,3 m from the ground.

Power supply:

or protected by a high-sensibility differential current protection-device (called SALVAVITA®),

that is to say with nominal differential current lower or equal to 30 mA.
