MTS Switch Decoder, Single
Channel
Use this decoder to control one EPL
switch, one EPL signal or one EPL
uncoupler with the LGB Multi-Train
System. The decoder connects
directly to the EPL drive and to the
tracks. It is very simple to connect
and to operate.
Specifications:
- single terminal for triggering
impulse for one EPL drive
- weather-resistant construction
(resin-dipped circuit board)
- max. output current: 1 amp
- impulse duration: 0.8 sec.
- overload protection (short circuit),
automatic Reset
- up to 2047 switch addresses (with
LGB MTS: 128)
- compatible with NMRA DCC
Installation
Connect the two terminals under-
neath the switch decoder to the
tracks (Fig. 1). Place the two pins on
the decoder into the orange and
white terminals on the EPL drive and
tighten the screws.
Programming the switch decoder
address
The switch decoder is protected
against accidental reprogramming.
This allows programming loco
addresses on your layout without
having to remove switch decoders
from the tracks. Programming the
switch decoder is possible only after
CV2 has been programmed to func-
tion value "77." Then you can pro-
gram the switch decoder address in
CV1. (Before each programming of a
CV, the programming protection has
6
to be deactivated by setting CV2 to
"77.")
Hint: With the LGB Multi-Train
System, only addresses 1-128 can
be used.
The LGB 55024 single-channel switch decoder features the following CVs:
Register Function
CV1
Switch decoder address
CV2
Programming protection (input "77" to allow one-time
programming of a single CV)
CV3
Switch setting direction ("0": normal; "1": inverse)
CV7
Input "55" to reset loco address (CV1 and CV9) to "1"
During read-out: software version
CV8
Manufacturer code, read only
CV9
Switch decoder address Byte 2 (address x 256)
For addresses above 255, byte 1 is programmed in CV1
and byte 2 in CV9: Address = CV9 x 256 + CV 1.
(Not for LGB MTS)
No other functions can be pro-
grammed. For advanced applica-
tions, we recommend the LGB 55025
MTS Switch Decoder.
