INSTRUCTION ON MOUNTING AND USE
It is extremely important that you keep this instruction booklet
with the cooker hood for future consultation.
If the device is sold or transferred to another person, ensure
that this booklet is also included with it, so that the new user
can see the warnings printed herein, and understand how to
operate the cooker hood correctly.
These warnings are provided for your own safety and for
that of others. We therefore request that you read them carefully
before installing and using the device.
on the initial pages with the alphabetical and numerical
references in the explanatory text.
Closely follow the instructions in this manual. We cannot accept
liability for any faults, detriment or fire damage to the appliance
due to non-compliance with the manual's instructions. Installation
and electrical connections must be executed by a qualified
technician.
The supplier will consider any warranty null
and void if damage is caused due to incorrect
installation or usage of the device. Do not modify, or
attempt to modify, the features of this device.
This appliance has been tested using a hob with a max
permissible total power of 10.5 Kw. The appliance is not
intended for use with a gas hob.
Installation
If the instructions for installation for the gas hob specify a greater
distance, this has to be taken into account. The minimum
distance between the carrier in its closed position, and the
surface above, must be at least 600 mm.
Electrical connection
Make sure that there is a power socket near the hood and
that the system has a 30 mA differential. The mains voltage
must be the same as that on the label inside the hood. The
hood has a 1250 mm power cable with or without plug: if it
does have a plug, connect the hood to an accessible
approved socket; or if it does not (connection direct to the
mains), fit an approved bipolar switch with a minimum
contact opening of no less than 3 mm (accessible). This
installation and electrical connection must be executed by a
qualified technician.
Operation
General Notes: the control system is touch-sensitive. To
activate any function, it is only necessary to touch the
button lightly.
! button: this button will flash green when the hood is rising
and will flash yellow when descending. If it shows a red
symbol when the on/off switch is on, this means the hood
is in emergency shutdown mode (e.g. because the grease
filters are missing, or incorrectly installed). If this occurs
during the descent phase, the hood will stop and rise up a
few centimetres. To allow the hood to operate correctly,
reinsert or correctly reposition the grease filters and press
both the ! button and the on/off button at the same time.
Check also the drawings
ON/OFF button: when this button is used, the hood will
rise up to its operating position. After a brief self-test sequence,
the motors will start. Pressing the button again will stop the
motors and the hood will move back to its shutdown position.
Speed control buttons: Pressing the „1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9"
buttons sets the speed (power) of aspiration desired. The
speed can be selected directly, or by gradually changing
through the possible speeds.
High Speed: tapping this control activates the „High Speed"
aspiration level (10° speed). This will time-out after approx.
8 minutes, after which the speed will return to level 9.
Grease filters saturated: when the motor is started, this
indicator button will light for five seconds in a colour that
shows the level of filter saturation: Green 0-75%, Orange 76-
99%.
If the indicator shows a constant red, this means the metal
grilles need to be washed (typically after 30 hours of use).
Carbon filters saturated: when the motor is started, this
indicator button will light for five seconds in a colour that
shows the level of filter saturation: Green 0-75%, Orange
76-99%.
If the indicator shows a constant red, this means the carbon
filters need to be washed or replaced (typically after 120hours
of use).
RESET FILTERS
„Grease / Carbon filters saturated" when the indicator
button shows red, pressing it will reset the indicator.
WARNING: This operation should be performed only
after correct maintenance of the respective filter(s).
Note: to stop the motors and keep the mobile hood open—
for example, to clean the hood—press both the ! button
andthe on/off button simultaneously.
