SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

INTENDED USE

The espresso machine Emilia is suitable for brewing coffee, espresso, cappuccino
and latte macchiato and for preparing hot beverages with water or milk as well.
Before first use, please read the instruction manual carefully and keep it in a safe
place.
• This device can be operated by
children age 8 or older and by
individuals with reduced physical,
sensory and mental abilities or lack
of experience and/or knowledge if
they are supervised or have been
given instruction concerning proper
use of the appliance and understand
possible dangers.
• This device is not a toy. Cleaning and
maintenance of the device must only
be performed by children age 8 or
older when they are supervised.
• Children must not play with the
device.
• The device and its connection cable
must be kept out of reach of child-
ren under the age of 8.
• Before removing or plugging in the
power plug, turn all switches of the
espresso machine to "OFF".
• Do not touch any hot surfaces of
the espresso machine such as steam
tube or portafilter while the machine
is running. Always use knobs and

switches.
• Never leave the espresso machine
unattended while it is switched on,
especially when children or individu-
als with reduced physical, sensory or
mental abilities are around.
• You need to make sure that your po-
wer supply complies with the details
listed on the espresso machine's type
plate.
• Only connect the power plug to a
grounded outlet.
• Remove the power plug from the so-
cket if you are not using the espresso
machine. Do not pull the power cord
because it could get damaged.
• Let the espresso machine cool down
completely before cleaning or atta-
ching accessory parts.
• Do not use the espresso machine,
accessory parts or the power plug
if they are damaged. In such case,
please contact customer service.
