2.1. Installing the Charging Base

1. Connect the AC-adaptor into the
connector at the rear of the charging base
(Fig. 1).
2. Before connecting the AC-adaptor to the
electrical outlet make sure that the
voltage setting corresponds to the voltage
from your electrical outlet and that the AC-
adaptor is compatible with your electrical
outlet.
3. The green light in the front of the charging
base indicates it is in operation.
Note: The charging base should only be used with the AC-adaptor
provided. Do not use electrical outlets that are timed or switched.

2.2. Charging the XL

The charging base operates via the spring loaded metal contacts on
the bottom of the XL charging base. The red ON/OFF switch is located
at the rear of the XL (Fig. 2).
1. Switch ON the XL (the far right position) (Fig. 2).
2. Place the pipettor in the charging base. To ensure proper charging
make sure that the contacts in the charging base and the bottom of
the XL are always clean (Fig. 3).
