The default speed for both aspiration and dispensing for each pipetting
range is as follows:

Note: The speed can not be changed in the middle of the aspiration
or dispensing cycles.

5.3. Setting the Pipetting range (the pipette/tip size to be used)

To avoid accidental over aspiration the XL can be programmed to perform
on a selected range when using smaller than 25 ml pipettes/tips. There are
designated limits for 1, 2, 5, 10 and 25 ml tips. The selected limit remains
active for all the operating modes, e.g. in the C-mode the piston movement
stops if the aspiration goes beyond the preset volume limit, and in the P-,
d-, and Sd-modes the programming can be done only within the allowed
range.
