Grinding spices manually (see figure F)
To grind spices manually, the cap (2) must be fitted (see "Changing the cap
(see figures A1–A2)", page 16).
– Remove the closing cap (5).
– Turn the cap (2) (not the lock ring (3)!) clockwise.
– Fit the closing cap (5) back onto the spice container (4). The closing cap
protects the grinding mechanism against external damage and debris.

Maintenance and Service

Cleaning
– Discard any spice residue into the waste bin.
– Clean the exterior of the spice grinder with a soft damp cloth. Do not use
abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.
Do not immerse the spice grinder into water and do not clean it in the
u
dishwasher. The product could become damaged.
– Allow all components to dry thoroughly before assembling them.
