Operation
Adjusting the grinding setting (see figure C)
– Finer grinding:
Turn the adjustment screw (8) clockwise to adjust the grinding setting.
– Coarser grinding:
Turn the adjustment screw (8) anticlockwise to adjust the grinding set-
ting.
Note: Do not screw the adjustment screw (8) of the grinding mechanism too
tight in order to prevent damage to the grinding mechanism. Do not unscrew
the adjustment screw (8) too far, otherwise it will fall out.
Attaching the spice grinder (see figure D)
– Insert the hexagon adapter (9) of the cap (1) directly into the tool holder
of the screwdriver.

Setting the Rotational Direction
IXO (3 603 JA8 0.., 3 603 JC7 0.., 3 603 JC7 1..) (see figures E1–E2)
– To set the screwdriver to clockwise rotation, slide the rotational direction
switch (10) all the way forward.
IXO (3 603 J81 0.., 3 603 J59 1.., 3 603 J59 3..) (see figure E3)
– To set the screwdriver to clockwise rotation, press the rotational direc-
tion switch (10) all the way in from the right.
Grinding spices with the IXO
To grind spices with the IXO, the cap (1) must be fitted (see "Changing the
cap (see figures A1–A2)", page 16).
– Remove the closing cap (5).
– Hold the spice grinder with one hand and the screwdriver with the other
hand.
– To grind the spice, press and hold the on/off switch of the screwdriver.
– After enough spice has been ground, remove the grinding mechanism
from the screwdriver.
– Fit the closing cap (5) back onto the spice container (4). The closing cap
protects the grinding mechanism against external damage and debris.
