protect.Genu
Intended purpose
protect.Genu is a knee support with patella ring. The product is
exclusively to be used for the orthotic fitting of the knee and only on
unbroken skin.
Indications
• Slight instabilities
• Joint effusion, swelling and irritation (e.g. arthrosis, arthritis,
overloading, injury, postoperative)

Contraindications

Diseases or injuries to the skin, sensitivity or perfusion disorders in
the legs or feet, lymph drainage disorders.
Mode of action
Together with the pad, the knitted fabric has a massaging effect,
improves perfusion and reduces effusion and swelling. This
combination of massage and stabilisation supports joint function,
enhances joint mobility and alleviates pain.
Instructions for fitting
• Grasp the support, with the thumb on the inside and on the upper
end of the lateral rods (Fig. 1).
• Pull the support over the knee, in such a way that pad covers the
knee centrally without compressing it (Figs. 2 + 3)
• To remove the support, grasp it at the bottom on the lateral rods
and pull it upwards and away (Fig 4).
Please note that the support should be fitted for the first time as
instructed by trained specialists.
Tips on wearing
Supports have the greatest effect during physical activity. In
principle, the support can be worn throughout the day. During long
periods of rest (sitting for long periods, driving, sleeping), the
support should be removed.
Care instructions
Soap residues, lotions and ointments can cause skin irritation and
material wear.
• Wash the product by hand, preferably using a medi clean
detergent, or in delicate cycle at 30°C using a mild detergent
without fabric conditioners.
• Do not bleach.
• Leave to dry naturally.
• Do not iron.
• Do not dry clean.
    
Storage instructions
Keep the product in a cool, dry place and do not expose to direct
sunlight.
