 Press the Menu A50 button.
9 The main menu is displayed in the graphic display A52.
Select the menu point "Secondary Parameters" by rotating
the operating button A49.
Confirm the "Secondary Parameters" menu point by press-
ing the operating button A49.
9 The menu "M1 Secondary Parameters" is displayed in the
graphic display A52.
Select the desired Secondary Parameter by rotating the
operating button A49.
Confirm the Secondary Parameter by pressing the operat-
ing button A49.
Set the desired value by rotating the operating button
A49.
Confirm the value by pressing the operating button A49.
Depending on the selected welding process
i i
and operating mode, various different second-
ary parameters are available.
See "18 Secondary Parameters Table" on Page 49.
Exit the menu by pressing the Menu button A50.

Welding process
If it is not possible to select a welding method,
i i
then a material/wire/gas combination has al-
ready been selected, for which no welding pro-
gram is saved in the device.
Manual
In the Manual welding process, welding takes place indepen-
dently of the welding programme. The welding voltage and
the wire feed speed are adjusted independently of each other.
Push the welding process button A32 until
the following symbol appears in the graphic
display A52.
Synergic
In the Synergic welding process, welding is carried out with
the welding programmes stored in the machine.
Push the welding process button A32 until
the following symbol appears in the graphic
display A52.

SpeedArc (optional)
In the SpeedArc welding process, welding programmes stored
in the machine are used. SpeedArc enables higher welding
speeds as well as a deeper fusion penetration compared to the
MIGMAG welding process.
Push the welding process button A32 until
the following symbol appears in the graphic
display A52.
Pulse (optional)
In the mode Pulse, welding is executed with a characteristic
curve that is stored in the machine. The pulse current is made
up of base current that is heterodyned from the current pulses.
Push the welding process button A32 until
the following symbol appears in the graphic
display A52.
SpeedUp (optional)
In SpeedUp mode, welding is executed with characteristic
curves that are stored in the machine. SpeedUp permits quick
and easy vertical up-welding (eliminating the need for the
"Christmas tree" movement during welding)
Push the welding process button A32 until
the following symbol appears in the graphic
display A52.
MMA (Electrode)
1)
In the standard electrode welding process, a universal elec-
trode welding programme is available.
Push the welding process button A32 until
the following symbol appears in the graphic

display A52.
9 A safety prompt appears in the graphic display A52.
Ensure that the electrode or the electrode
holder do not come into contact with the work-
piece or workpiece line.
 Confirm the safety prompt.
